Gig Harbor and the Peninsula have great events all year long. Gig Habor knows how to have fun and throughout the year, the city hosts events to make you smile. The harbor has a rich history and variety of events and festivals that reflect the pride in this maritime village. The monthly Art Walk shares the talents of local artists, and the weekly summertime farmers market shares the bounty of the Peninsula.

Gig Harbor Artwalk
First Saturday of each month, 1-5pm Downtown Gig Harbor Waterfront
Art enthusiasts from far and wide come to downtown Gig Harbor on the first Saturday of every month. Take a stroll around our picturesque harbor as all of the galleries open their doors for this cultural event. All galleries in the harbor will be open.

Gig Harbor History Walk
A self guided tour in around downtown Gig Harbor. You can pick up a History Walk Guide at multiple locations through out the communtity. All along the History Walk are heritage makers placed by the City of Gig Harbor showing the points of interest that share facts and local tradition. For further historical exploration one can find heritage markers in the Key Peninsula, Rosedale area and Fox Island.

Saturdays from 8:30am-2:00pm

Summer Sounds at Skansie
Tuesday at 6:30pm at Skansie Brothers Park, downtown Gig Harbor.
Bring a chair or blanket and settle down and enjoy a concert in the park.

Selected Fridays July 6 through Aug 17 at Donkey Creek Park

Family Night
Selected Saturdays July 7 through Aug 18 as Skansie Brothers Park
Watch the “stars” under the stars. Free date night and kids night at Skansie Brothers Park and Donkey Creek Park includes four “date” movies and four “family” movies. All movies begin at dusk.
